Dear Neighbours

The limitations of AOL meant that the poster sent out over the weekend for the Friend of Roots & Shoots was a mess!

So, here is the information again in text form.

Best wishes

The sellers’ and buyers’ commissions will be donated to Roots and Shoots and Andrew Hallifax-Lyons, who is coordinating the event, hopes to raise a substantial amount.

ART EXHIBITION

The auction will follow an exhibition (26 – 29 October) of work by eight contemporary British artists, each of whom is donating a piece for sale in aid of Roots and Shoots.

On show will be Jenny Anthony’s flamboyant equestrian sculpture and paintings, work by Kevin Sweeney, whose enigmatic sculptures are in a growing number of private and corporate collections and David Selby’s exuberant sculpture and paintings, which have been exhibited in many parts of the world.

Paintings of people and places, plants and flowers by the talented Rymer family – Vic, Gillian and Natalie; Sarah Hoskins’ vibrant people paintings and Helen Lomas’s evocative visual diary of her world travels, all combine to create an exhibition that sits perfectly in its surroundings, one of south London’s ‘green’ gems!

AUCTION: Saturday 31 October 1.30pm. Viewing Friday 30 October 4pm – 8pm; Saturday 31 October 10am – 1pm.

ART EXHIBITION: Mon 26 October 10am – 4pm; Tues 27 to Thurs 29 October, 10am – 8pm.
