Exhibition Preview: 17 September 6-9pm

Millions online… video… home-editing… YouTube… conversational spectacle overnight… gulf between cinematic and lo-fi film narrows… viewers become creators… anarcho-democracy. TestBed 1 showcases the series of new digital screen-based commissions produced during open residencies at Beaconsfield between March and September 2010.

TestBed 1 artists’ discussion: 19 September at 2pm

Chaired by Francis Summers, an open discussion with artists commissioned for TestBed 1 will take as its starting point the idea that internet ‘browsing’ may have become implicit in the process of making work.

Francis Summers is a video artist and lecturer, currently conducting doctoral research by practice at the Royal College of Art, London.

TestBed 1 is produced as part of Beaconsfield’s curatorial mentoring scheme for emerging artist-curators. Mentees: Dafna Talmor and Joseph Walsh.

Secret Santa's elves are hard at work!

Dear Neighbours

Secret Santa's elves are hard at work!
“Knowing local people care at Christmas is as important to the recipients as the gifts themselves.”
'Secret Santa' donations are beginning to land on the doorstep!
Many from individuals who prefer to remain anonymous,
and also from our commercial neighbours.

As soon as we have reached our 'Secret Santa' target
to provide shopping vouchers for 100 local needy young families (£4,000),
we can focus on our 'Grey Power' initiative
to provide a mini-bus and meal (with a funny hat and cracker!)
for isolated elderly in Kennington
who might otherwise be home alone on Christmas Day.

Big thanks especially to The Dog House PHwho have donated twelve 'Secret Santa' parcels -
a whopping £480!

Other very generous donations are in from:

Beefeater Gin Distillery

South London Pacific

Rolfe Judd Ltd

Coversure Insurance Services

Very many thanks to all

August 2010
Dear Two Boroughs Friends and Family

Hope this finds you well and happy and enjoying your summer! The Young Vic has been buzzing during August as 70 local residents have been busy rehearsing with a professional cast for The Human Comedy – a vibrant Broadway musical. The Young Vic Auditorium

Reserved seating arrives at the Young Vic

For those who have already visited us at Young Vic, you will know we have not had reserved seating. This is about to change. From the end of September, the Young Vic will introduce seat reservations and price banding! The good news is that Two Borough project community tickets are chosen from the top two price bands! This means you will sit in the best seats... for FREE!!!!
It also means you will have to let me know about ANY access requirements you or your group may have when booking your tickets with me, this is so I can allocate seats that you can access.

Exciting things coming up...

There is so much going on here and we hope there is something for everyone. Please have a look at the shows I have free tickets for, and also projects, workshops and events you and your friends can get involved in. Everything is free and everyone is welcome. Please take note of age recommendations and, as always, if you have ANY questions, thoughts or comments feel free to get in touch with me!
Hope to see you all here soon. Love, Kirstin x
