The first thing I appreciated was how easy it was to get to the Kennington Lane Café from Vauxhall tube station. It’s roughly a two and a half minute walk via Exit 3, including waiting time at the two crossings required to get there. ...... You might easily walk past the Kennington Lane Café without realising the gem that it is ...... Something that immediately struck me was that the café had a decidedly low-key appearance compared to many of London’s other popular spots, which tend to be more Instagram-inspired. Located just off busy Vauxhall roundabout, on the corner of Kennington Lane, you might easily walk past its unassuming, slightly dated shopfront without realising it contains London’s ‘best’ tea. ...... In fact, I’d argue that what makes Kennington Lane Café’s tea so popular isn’t just the tea itself - which, yes, is very good - but also the environment.
