Houses at the former Lilian Baylis School site are now on sale

This unique development of the former Lillian Baylis School will become a new community of 149 homes ranging from one bedroom flat to four bedroom townhouses. Part conversion of the sixties school promises spectacular loft-style apartments in the original teaching blocks. Within the development here will be new build "courtyard" properties in extensively re-landscaped grounds, 89 of these properties will be for the open market while 26 will be allocated for shared ownership and 34 will be for affordable rent.

The 3.2-acre site borders fabled Lambeth Walk, SE11, Zone 1 and is so close to the Palace of Westminster that it falls within the parliamentary Division Bell area. This so-central inner-city area, is undoubtedly on the up. The school sits in a classic urban setting - amid pre-war and post-war estates as well as a collection of neo-Georgian cottages built in the early 20th century.
