Are there any gardening enthusiasts or would-be-enthusiasts out there who could volunteer a couple of gardening hours on a Monday or Thursday every three weeks for the next few months, to support a worthy cause?
The Friends of Lambeth Community Care Centre in Monkton Street are looking for two or three volunteers to help in the Care Centre's magnificent garden. Kenningtonians who have bought plants at the annual Garden Open Weekend in May or attended the Friends' Garden Party in July will be familiar with this magnificent North Lambeth oasis; others have a delightful surprise in store. The garden is an important contributor to the welfare of patients and visitors to the Centre.
