Myatt's Fields Park: Children's activities and Christmas carol service 2009

Children’s activities November and December 2009 in Myatt’s Fields Park. These include:

Saturday 14: Build a stag beetle hotel. A stag beetle expert will also be on hand offering children’s stag beetle related activities and information about these endangered creatures.

November 21: Paper mache workshop

November 28: Forage for food in the park and cook over a wood burning stove

December 5: Lantern making

December 12: Den building

December 19: Make woollen Christmas decorations

Christmas carols 6th December 2009 4.30pm to 6pm

This will be extra special this year with a choir provided by professional singers Fever Pitch and led by conductor Elinor Corp, and a brass quartet provided by Lambeth Wind Orchestra.

Children will be able to make Christingles (candleholders made from oranges and stuck with sweets) during a free workshop from 4.30pm, and Myatt’s Fields Park Project Group will run the kiosk selling mulled wine and minced pies.
