Lambeth's library consultation meetings

You may know already that as part of the consultation process about
the future of Lambeth's library service, there are to be consultation
meetings in local libraries. Two are scheduled for the Durning, one
on Tuesday 20 March, 7.00 - 9.00 pm and the second on Monday 26 March,
10.00 - 12.00 noon
. They will be quite informal and there will be
opportunities to talk to officials and discuss what users want.
Members of the Durning Friends' committee will also be there. These
are in addition to the public meeting held by the Friends on 27
February.

There is a very detailed consultation document which is available on

the Lambeth website
(http://www.lambeth.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/5DD27AAE-AEE6-4AC2-9DA8-AE8E849EE9D4/0/ConsultationinformationFINAL.pdf)
as is the associated questionnaire, which we hope people will
complete.

The Durning Friends would like to encourage anyone interested in their

library to go to one of these meetings, even if they have already been
to the one held by the Friends in February. The Library Service needs
as much feedback as possible from users and the meetings will be a
chance to talk informally to officials. There is more information on
the Lambeth website but anything you can do to publicise the meetings
would be very welcome.
