PARK Idol will see residents casting their votes to land their favourite green spaces jackpots of up to £400,000.
London Mayor Boris Johnson’s competition will see winners in South London given a fantastic makeover.
The finalists have been selected after a gruelling inspection by a panel of experts.
But now it is up to the public to make their choice.
London has been divided into five areas, with a jackpot for two parks in each.
Southwark and Lewisham have four wannabes in the South-east London category.
Lambeth and Wandsworth each have two nominees in the South-west London section.
In Lewisham, Mayow Park in Sydenham and Deptford Park in Deptford are serious contenders.
Locals have already been lobbying hard to pick up public votes.
Southwark can boast nominations for Dickens Square in Borough and Camberwell Green, Camberwell.
In the South-west London region, Spring Gardens, Vauxhall, and Kennington Park, Kennington, will battle rivals from Wandsworth and Kingston.
In Wandsworth, King George’s Park and Latchmere Rec have both been shortlisted.
