One of the plaques
MYSTERY surrounds strange plaques bearing the names of moon-walkers which have been fastened to trees in Kennington.
The tiny white plaques bear the names of the 12 astronauts to walk on the moon between 1968 and 1972.
They are roughly 10ft up the London plane trees on the west side of the Kennington Road. A Lambeth council spokesman said he would investigate how the plaques got there.
He said: “I don’t think it’s something we would have done.”
