Farmyard fun for the Autumn half term

This half term Vauxhall City Farm is offering free family activities. As well as meeting our friendly rare breed animals, families can learn new skills and have a great time. We have three free workshops:

Sunday 25th October: Go wild in the Garden, 11-3pm

Get your green fingers ready for an afternoon of wildlife-friendly gardening and green activities. Come and plant bulbs, build a mini-beast hotel, feed the birds or try some recycled crafts.

Tuesday 27th October: Family art workshop, 1-3pm

Come and create a unique piece of art as a family! Explore the farm, get some inspiration then get stuck in. All materials provided

Wednesday 28th October: Make, bake and eat! 1-3pm

Come and have a go at making edible bread sculptures and tasty pumpkin soup. All materials provided.

About the farm:

Established in 1977, Vauxhall City Farm is a free of charge charity urban farm located in a deprived inner city area and is open to the public 5 days a week. The site covers ¾ acre and creatively houses a range of farm animals ranging from horses and sheep to chickens and guinea pigs. At one end of the farm is our ecology garden complete with educational composting and recycling area, bug house and wildlife pond. At the opposite end of the site is our community garden and allotments for local people. The community garden has also recently been transformed to include easily accessible growing areas and a wonderful new building constructed entirely of recycled and reclaimed materials.
