Catalysta
By Allister Bain. Directed by Robert Icke
"Pear tree split in three, nutmeg tree fall down, dead wood on the ground. Life-saving breadfruit rolling like marbles, leaping like rubber balls up and down."
Catalysta travels from London to Grenada several months after Hurricane Ivan to visit her elderly sister Eartha and her husband. They share their home with their daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
But when Catalysta arrives, the family battles she finds raging threaten to wreak more havoc than the hurricane itself, as neither mother can change their pattern of destructive behaviour. Through provocative stories Catalysta challenge their set ways: her words run through the house like a healing breeze, but will it be enough to quell the storm?

and
Angela Wynter
