Seniors Events at BFI Southbank

FREE MATINEE ON THURSDAY 18TH JUNE AT 2PM at BFI Southbank

You are cordially invited to our Seniors free matinee this coming Thursday - Beautiful South - our Seniors celebration for the Story of London festival during June. Join curators and historians who will discuss rare Lambeth and Southwark films from our new Mediatheque collection. This will provide a fascinating glimpse into the past of these two Boroughs. Silent film inclusions will be accompanied by live music from Stephen Horne. This event promises to be another enjoyable and sociable occasion from our seniors events calendar.

In addition, please note that next weeks seniors event - The Gypsy and the Gentlemen - starring Melina Mercouri, Keith Michell, Flora Robson and Patrick McGoohan, will be on Wednesday 24th at 2pm at BFI Southbank. This is a special price matinee with tickets costing £5 each. The screening will be introduced by the costume designer for the film, Julie Harris.

The film is a captivating period extravaganza in which an English gentleman falls for a tempestuous gypsy girl who intends to take him for every penny he's got! Surely one not to be missed!

We look forward to welcoming you and do contact the box office if you would like to attend either event.

Box office: 020 7928 3232 - open from 11am until 8.30pm each day.

Contact me direct if you have any questions.

Kind regards, Joanna van der Meer
