Murder probe after fatal stabbing
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death.
The victim, believed to be 19-years-old, was in one of three cars stopped by officers after they ran a red light at around 5.12am on Saturday in Baylis Road, in Waterloo, south London.
The ambulance service was called but the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 5.36am.
Police believe they know his identity but are awaiting formal identification. His next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination will be held at Greenwich Mortuary.
Investigating officers believe the man was stabbed in a fight outside a nightclub in Goding Street, in Kennington.
At around the same time he was discovered, a second man, also believed to be 19-years-old, was found in Goding Street with stab wounds.
He remains in a south London hospital in a serious condition with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
